Background
At a home appliance manufacturer in Seoul, South Korea, the engineering team was developing compact kitchen appliances for residential use. The customer needed a reliable cooling fan for home appliance designs, with the most urgent requirement focused on an oven cooling fan solution for limited internal spaces.
Challenge
During testing, conventional fans could not deliver consistent airflow in narrow compartments and partially blocked HEPA filters. The customer also needed low-noise operation, intelligent speed control, and long-term reliability for household appliance platforms, including refrigerator fan and dishwasher fan applications.
Solution
YCCFAN recommended the 60×60×25mm YDL6025X05F as the main oven cooling fan for the project. It delivered 17.61 CFM airflow and 2.79 mmH₂O static pressure, helping air move effectively through restricted internal structures.
As a silent cooling fan, the YDL6025X05F also supports PWM speed control and FG output for dynamic adjustment and real-time diagnostics. Its fluid dynamic bearing design helps reduce vibration and ensures stable 24/7 operation.
Results
After implementation, the customer achieved an estimated 10–15% improvement in airflow efficiency and a 6–9°C reduction in hotspot temperature around key electronic components. The optimized fan solution also helped lower operating noise by approximately 3–5 dB(A) under normal working conditions, while improving overall thermal stability and long-term reliability in the compact appliance design.
