YCCFAN in Action: Reliable Cooling for PM2.5 Sensors

In Seoul, South Korea, a tech company building a citywide PM2.5 monitoring network encountered persistent overheating problems. The compact sensor units—filled with laser detectors, filters, and wireless components—offered limited airflow space, causing temperature spikes during long operation. This led to unstable data, inaccurate readings, and poor sampling. Compounding the issue, the original mini cooling fans were too loud for schools, parks, and residential areas, limiting deployment.


To resolve this, YCCFAN recommended the YDL4010X12, a compact micro cooling fan(40×40×10mm) tailored for small electronic systems. The solution delivered three key benefits:

After two months, results were significant: sensor temperature dropped from 58°C to 46°C, data error rate fell from 7.8% to 0.6%, and noise was reduced by 7 dB.
